Data Engineer (Mid-Level)

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our Data Team and collaborate with top-notch experts in the field!  

You will be mainly focusing on an international financial institution to implement their new cloud-based data architecture.
In the long run, you will have an opportunity to be involved in various projects, from crafting ETL processes, and implementing data models to setting up data warehouses. Plus, there’s room to explore tasks like customer requirements gathering and dashboard building.
We’re flexible on tools, so you’ll gain hands-on experience with diverse technologies, putting your ideas into action.

We are looking for:

  • At least 2 years of experience in working as SQL developer, Data Warehouse developer or Data Engineer 
  • Very good SQL knowledge  
  • Experience with dimensional data modeling
  • Very good English language skills, both written and spoken 
  • Analytical mindset 
  • Ability and willingness to communicate to customers to clarify requirements and build solutions
  • You are located in EU, preferably Estonia, Latvia or Poland

You will be doing:

  • Data warehouse development using mainly cloud-based tools  
  • Participating in a modern agile development process with other Helmes team members 
  • Setting up ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake, as well as GUI-based tools  
  • Creating, implementing and clarifying data models, defining edge cases
  • Conducting meetings with customers, gathering requirements and proposing solutions (if you’re interested) 
  • Creating visualisations on platforms such as Power BI and Tableau (if you’re interested)
