To address the emotional challenges faced by parents during the kindergarten application process, a service design project proposed the development of a user-friendly and informative online platform, the creation of a comprehensive online hub on the government’s portal eesti.ee, and the implementation of empathetic communication that acknowledges parental concerns and encourages community-led initiatives to foster support among parents.
The Estonian Agricultural Research Centre (ARC)
The ARC’s laboratories were using outdated systems and manual data entry, which resulted in delays in test results. Helmes applied a service design approach to develop a new laboratory software that streamlined data management, increased efficiency, and improved user experience. The new system reduced turnaround times and workload for technicians, enhanced data quality, and empowered staff to concentrate on core responsibilities.
Audentes Sports Boarding School
Audentes Sports Boarding School is addressing the challenges of manual attendance and meal tracking by digitizing both processes. The new system will use mobile applications, and data analytics tools to automate tasks and provide real-time data insights. This will allow the school to identify students who are struggling with attendance or nutrition, and provide them with support and interventions. The system will also help to promote healthy eating habits, which can have a positive impact on student mental health.
