Estonia is widely recognised for its digital public services — from e-government and cybersecurity to digital healthcare. These are not pilot projects or future plans. They are everyday tools used across the country.
And from August 29 to September 3, Helmes will help share that experience with Swiss leaders.
As part of a broader seminar on digitalisation and cybersecurity, Helmes is collaborating with Allianz Digitale Sicherheit Schweiz to share practical lessons from Estonia’s digital healthcare journey, showing how digital transformation works not just in theory but in everyday life.
A digitalisation seminar – with an Estonian twist
The Helsinki–Tallinn seminar brings together Swiss business and public sector leaders to explore how digitalisation can support a more secure and resilient future. The program includes visits to organisations such as ICEYE, IQM, and the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, as well as sessions with Estonian companies and government representatives.
Participants will explore how Estonia has built nationwide digital services, including a robust healthcare sector that supports day-to-day work for doctors, administrators, and patients.
During the eHealth session, Helmes will share practical examples of these solutions and the practical benefits they create, including what worked, what didn’t, and what we would do differently today.
Collaboration that goes both ways
For Estonia, this seminar highlights how years of building digital public services are now becoming valuable lessons for other countries. And healthcare is one of the most practical examples — where digitalisation directly affects daily work and patient outcomes.
For Helmes, the goal is simple: share knowledge openly, learn from others, and help move digital healthcare forward.
“Estonia is a globally recognized digital success story, and we’re proud that Helmes has played a role in shaping it,” said Ian Nelis from Helmes.
“We’re excited to share our experience and learn from our Swiss partners.”
Because when it comes to digital transformation, the best ideas rarely stay within borders.
