Senior Java Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with experience in FinTech to join our technology team. You will deliver both business and technical improvements, help raise engineering quality, reduce support costs, and manage tech debt.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build secure, reliable, and innovative systems in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone hands-on, strong in Java and system design, and comfortable collaborating with business stakeholders on high-impact solutions.

We are seeking a candidate who:

    • Has 5+ years of experience in Java development
    • Has strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
    • Is familiar with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and CI/CD pipelines
    • Has a background in FinTech, banking, payments, trading, or financial services
    • Understands secure coding practices and financial regulations
    • Is familiar with design and architectural patterns
    • Writes clean, maintainable code and thinks analytically
    • Is proactive, self-managed, and comfortable working autonomously
    • Communicates fluently in English and works well with international teams
Nice to have:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Exposure to event-driven architecture
Experience with high-throughput or low-latency systems
Familiarity with DevOps practices

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver seamless user experiences
  • Advocate modern engineering practices such as pair programming and test-driven development (TDD)
  • Drive technical innovation and continuously improve the codebase
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment
