Build How Modern Work Actually Flows
We are building Helmes in Finland as a new and ambitious unit within the Helmes Group, and we are now looking for a Lead Atlassian Consultant to join our core team.
At Helmes, we don’t just implement tools – we help organizations design how work actually flows.
Start here
As a Lead Atlassian Consultant, you work at the intersection of technology, ways of working and customer collaboration.
Your work includes both technical implementation and solution design, helping organizations use Atlassian tools to support real work instead of creating additional complexity.
Experience with service-oriented or regulated environments (e.g. public sector, finance, industry, infrastructure) is a plus, but not required.
Our approach is based on the concept of a System of Work, where people, processes and technology come together to create smooth and effective collaboration. The Atlassian ecosystem is a powerful platform for this, but tools alone do not solve problems — thoughtful design and implementation do.
This role combines hands-on technical work, solution architecture and advisory work in customer projects. You will also play an important role in shaping how our Atlassian services evolve in Finland.
What Success Looks Like in Your First Year
During your first year, you will:
- Deliver high-quality Atlassian solutions for key customers
- Spend roughly 60–80% of your time in customer delivery
- Contribute to shaping our Atlassian service offering in Finland
- Build strong collaboration with the wider Helmes and Trinidad Wiseman expert network
Your key responsibilities include
- Solution Design & Delivery: Design and deliver Atlassian-based solutions for customers, including Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and related ecosystem tools.
- Hands-on Technical Implementation: Work directly with configuration, workflow design, automation, integrations and platform optimization.
- Cloud Migration & Platform Development: Support customers in moving to and developing modern Atlassian Cloud environments, including DC-to-Cloud readiness and migration projects.
- Process & Operating Model Design: Understand how organizations actually work and translate business processes into effective system solutions, with a strong focus on Enterprise Service Management (ESM) beyond IT and cross-functional workflows.
- Customer Advisory: Work closely with customers to simplify processes and guide them toward sustainable ways of working.
- Collaboration Across Helmes Group: Work together with Atlassian experts across Helmes and Trinidad Wiseman teams in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, combining international expertise with local delivery.
- AI & Innovation: Explore and apply modern Atlassian capabilities, including AI-powered knowledge discovery and agents (e.g. Atlassian Rovo), to reduce operational noise and improve the flow of work.
Your Profile
- We are looking for a senior Atlassian professional who enjoys both technical work and solving real business problems.
- Strong Atlassian Experience: Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence in modern cloud environments.
- Technical Delivery Skills: Experience with areas such as:
- workflow design and configuration
- automation
- cloud migrations
- integrations and marketplace applications
- Understanding of Ways of Working: You understand how organizations operate and can translate business needs into practical system solutions. Knowledge of frameworks such as Agile, SAFe or ITILv4 is a plus, but not required.
- Consulting Mindset: You are comfortable working directly with customers, asking the right questions and guiding them toward simpler and more effective solutions.
- Language Skills: Fluent Finnish and English (spoken and written) are required, as the role involves collaboration with Finnish customers and international teams.
What we offer
- A Chance to Build Something New: A key role in developing Helmes’ Atlassian business in Finland.
- The Best of Both Worlds: Startup-like agility combined with the stability and expertise of the Helmes Group (1000+ experts).
- Hybrid Work Model: Flexible working from home, the office, or customer locations, depending on the situation.
- International Collaboration: Work closely with experienced Atlassian professionals across Northern Europe.
- Continuous Professional Development: Support for certifications, learning and continuous professional growth.
