After three successful years in the Polish market, Helmes is expanding its presence with a new office in Warsaw, officially opened in December 2024 to mark a new chapter of growth and collaboration.
“Poland has one of the fastest-growing economies in Europe, with growth forecasts for 2025 and subsequent years far exceeding the EU average,” said Deniss Ojastu, partner and board member at Helmes. “Its capital, Warsaw, is a modern and vibrant city, full of skilled engineering talent fostered by local universities and attracted from neighboring countries and regions. We want to offer them an opportunity to join a global organization that prioritizes its people, encourages an autonomous team culture, and supports personal development.”
Helmes started its operations in Poland in 2022, and it has been employing more than 60 specialists that helped the company enter the market and strengthen its presence there. “Opening a new office in Warsaw gives our people a place to work, learn, and grow together,” Ojastu said.
“Our experience so far confirms the great potential of the Polish market – besides its favorable geographical location, we see that local employees also appreciate Helmes’ values and Nordic work culture.”

In Poland, Helmes plans to continue implementing its own “Helmes Way” IT service standard, which combines cutting-edge technologies such as applied artificial intelligence with people-centered leadership and teamwork. This ensures at least a 50 percent increase in efficiency compared to conventional outsourcing models.
Looking ahead, the company forecasts that 2025 will bring stability rather than breakthrough changes to the IT sector.
“Helmes’ Polish unit is a fully integrated branch of the group, complementing our international team,” Ojastu said. “We expect moderate business growth in Central Europe and Scandinavia. Our goal is to maintain our position in the market and provide long-term security to our clients, even in a more challenging economic environment.”
Helmes is a partner in digital transformation and software development. Over 30 years, the company has grown into a global organization with more than 1,500 employees, including subsidiaries. Helmes creates mission-critical solutions for international clients such as Airbus, Telia, Kühne+Nagel, the European Space Agency, the OECD, and others. More than 100 million end users use the solutions developed by the company. Helmes’ development centers are located in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
